Community Guidelines
Last updated: 15 August 2026
Smilee only works if it stays a place for real relationships. These guidelines exist to protect that — for you, and for the people you care about.
Be genuine
Log Moments that actually happened. Reach out because you mean it, not to check a box. Smilee is built around real gestures, not performance.
Respect the people in your Circle
Your Circle is your list of people who matter — it isn't a broadcast list. Smilee never contacts the people you add on your behalf; nudges are private reminders for you. Don't use Smilee to pressure, guilt, or repeatedly contact someone who has asked for space.
Privacy isn't optional
Moments and Memories often involve other people. Don't share someone else's private moment — a message, a photo, a voice note — outside Smilee without their consent.
No harassment or harmful content
Hate speech, harassment, threats, or content intended to harm another person have no place on Smilee, in a Moment, a note, or anywhere else.
Reporting a concern
If something on Smilee doesn't feel right — a safety concern, misuse of the platform, or anything else — write to hello@smilee.co.in. We read every message from our founding community and take reports seriously.
What happens if guidelines are broken
Depending on severity, we may reach out for context, restrict features, or suspend an account. Our goal is always to keep Smilee a place people feel safe returning to.
